Planning YOUR PERFECT SMILE
During your consultation, your cosmetic dentist will evaluate your smile and discuss your goals to develop a personalized treatment plan. We then use the latest 3D scanning technology to capture detailed images of your teeth and face. These scans are sent to the SMI Dental Lab, where our team of cosmetic dentists and master ceramists create a digital smile design for your preparation appointment. If your consultation is virtual, your cosmetic dentist will inform you whether these preliminary scans are needed beforehand or can be done on the same day as your preparation appointment.
DESIGN AND PREPARATION
Your new digital smile design is 3D printed and serves as a precise blueprint for your cosmetic dentist. This blueprint guides any necessary preparations to your teeth to accommodate the thickness and shape of your ceramic restorations. After a final 3D scan of your prepped teeth is taken, we use a mold of your printed smile design to create stunning composite restorations. These are temporarily bonded in place while the SMI Dental Lab expertly designs and fabricates your final ceramic restorations, a process that takes about 8 business days.
SMILE MAKEOVER BEFORE AND AFTER
You’ll return to the office 8 business days later, where your cosmetic dentist will carefully remove your temporary restorations and permanently bond your ceramic veneers, crowns, and/or bridges in place. Any final adjustments to the length, shape, or fit of your ceramic restorations can be made to ensure everything is perfect. Your SMI Smile Makeover is complete!
